Welcome to JMCDD

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery is a bimonthly published online Journal, which publishes innovative research papers, reviews, mini-reviews, short communications and notes dealing with Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Dear Researchers,
Greetings for New Year!

Analytical Chemistry Teachers Researchers’ Association (ACTRA) aims to improve research education, research leadership, research mentorship and research collaboration skills for the faculty and students of the region. We see that universities and other institutions are trying to promote research as a culture. So our research activities are one of the key performance indices (KPI). However, we have to be careful not to be caught up in the Publish or Perish syndrome.

ACTRA is trying to show how our research achieves a certain purpose; can bridge the gap in knowledge. We are thankful to all those who review our articles and conference papers. They have a great responsibility to decide on the merit of our research papers. Societies have to realize the importance of scientific contributions and productivity. We really need information and knowledge power houses to improve the overall quality of life and that cannot be ensured without Research. The end-goal of ACTRA is to encourage the development and strengthening of basic science research in the country.

Special issue of ACTRA comprises of original research articles on all aspects of analytical work related to environmental problems. This includes analysis of organic, inorganic and pollutants in air, water, sediments and biota; and determination of harmful substances, including analytical methods for the investigation of chemical or metabolic breakdown patterns in the environment and in biological samples.

It also covers the development of new analytical methods or improvement of existing ones useful for the control and investigation of pollutants or trace amounts of naturally occurring active chemicals in all environmental compartments. Development, modification and automation of instruments and techniques with potential in environment sciences are also part of the journal.

Case studies are also considered, particularly for areas where information is scarce or lacking, providing that reported data is significant and representative, either spatially or temporally, and quality assured. Owing to the interdisciplinary nature of this journal, it will also include topics of interest to researchers in the fields of medical science (health sciences), toxicology, forensic sciences, , biological sciences and other fields that, in one way or another, contribute to the knowledge of our environment and have to make use of analytical chemistry for this purpose. All manuscript submissions are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees.
